The Official Opening Of Our New Extension

The official opening of our new extension took place on Thursday evening, 22nd October 2009. The ceremony was attended by people from the locality as well as people further afield who have had some connection with the school. The children played the tin whistle, sang hymns and did Irish dancing. John Kehoe, Board of Management, was the Master of Ceremonies. Father Hayes spoke about the extension being a fine achievement. Principal Norma Doyle thanked all those who worked to bring the extension to completion. Seán Connick spoke about the persistent efforts of Norma to get the building work under way. Bishop Denis Brennan gave a humorous talk and then blessed the school and the children. The evening concluded with refreshments. Thanks to everyone who helped on this special occasion. It was a night to remember.
