We now have a Virtual Learning Environment in St. Aidan's N.S. Moodle is an application that enables the children in our school to learn by accessing our teacher-designed courses via the Internet.

Moodle was set up on our website on 17th February, 2009.
The word Moodle is an acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment. Moodle was created by Martin Dougiamas, a WebCT administrator at Curtin University, Australia, who has graduate degrees in Computer Science and Education.
Moodle is a free and open source e-learning software platform, also known as a Course Management System, Learning Management System, or Virtual Learning Environment. It has a significant user base with 49,579 registered sites and 28,330,323 users in 204 countries (as of 17th February, 2009).
