One day, he decided to cast his most wicked spell. He wanted to turn all the people into bananas. He looked up his book of bad spells and found the spell he wanted. He liked bananas and was looking forward to eating them all. He started saying the words, "ABRACADABRA TURN ALL THE PEOPLE INTO BANANAS." At once his whole castle was filled with bananas right up to the roof. He had no room to move. Bananas covered everything.

The Flying Fridge by Liam Flood 2nd Class

The Ramsbottom family lived in Cork. In the Ramsbottom family there was a girl called Nora and two boys called Zach and Iggie.
One Monday morning, the children got the bus to school and Daddy went to work. Mammy went shopping. The family needed a new fridge as the one they had was very old. Mammy didn't know which fridge to buy so the man in the shop helped her and she found the one she wanted.
That afternoon, the man was delivering the fridge but when he opened the delivery van, the fridge was gone. Mammy heard a noise in the sky. She looked up. She saw the fridge - it was flying. She couldn't believe what she saw. The man looked up. The fridge door was flapping, its light was flashing and its plug was swinging. Suddenly a carton of butter and a litre of milk hit the ground.
Nora, Zach and Iggie returned home from school. They heard Mammy screaming and saw loose sausages falling out of a fridge in the sky. Daddy came home from work on his bike. He saw Mammy shouting, the children laughing and eggs falling down from a fridge in the sky. An egg landed on Daddy's head. Next the fridge went higher up into the sky and disappeared. "Well, I'm not paying for that fridge!" said Daddy. "That's the craziest fridge I have ever seen in my whole life."

He began to blink
When he turned to pink.
He got water to drink

"Maybe I shouldn't have got in the sink."

While eating a tart.

While his hair curling.
"Enough!" said the teacher. "Just go!
Get out and don't be slow."

As he went off to learn how to behave.

Glen the Giant by Timara Walsh 3rd Class

Once upon a time, there was a giant called Glen. He was a very clumsy giant. He kept knocking into people. He kept banging into furniture. He kept knocking over ornaments. He kept spilling drinks. He was always saying, "Oops!" People in the town were very nervous of Glen. They did not want to visit him. They were afraid they might have an accident. Glen was very lonely and sad.
One Friday morning Glen was opening his bottle of milk and spilling it, of course, all over the kitchen floor. A wise genie popped out of the milk bottle. Glen was surprised. "I think you need my advice, Glen. You do things far too quickly. You need to do things more slowly. Take your time and watch what you are doing." The genie then disappeared into thin air.
Glen thought about what the genie had told him. "Yes, I think the genie was right. From now on, I will not rush but will do things more carefully."
From that day on, Glen did not knock into too many people. He did not bang into much furniture. He did not knock over too many ornaments. He did not often spill drinks either. He just wasn't at all as clumsy as he used to be. People in the town stopped being nervous of Glen. They went to visit him. Now Glen had many friends and was very happy.

Strange Noises! by Talia Murphy 4th Class

It was a bright, sunny Sunday morning. A little girl called Maeve had been up all night because of the excitement that she would turn ten today.
Although Maeve was excited, she was weary of her two brothers, Michael and David, who played a birthday trick on her every year.
Maeve decided to play a trick on her brothers this year for a change. She quietly got up, making sure that none of the family could hear her. She crept down the hallway, opened the attic door using the pole and lowered the ladder. Then she went into the kitchen and picked up Snowball the cat. She brought the cat out into the hall and ushered the cat up the ladder. When the cat was safely in the attic, she raised up the ladder and shut the attic door quietly.
At nine o'clock, Maeve's parents and two brothers got up to have breakfast. Maeve joined them. Suddenly there was a loud bang above their heads. "What's that?" shouted David as he ran out to the hall. There was nothing to be seen. He returned to the table. Next there was a thump thump. Michael jumped up in fright. "There's definitely something in the house." His face turned white. Maeve sat quietly. Then there was a scratch, scratch noise. Mum and Dad jumped to their feet. "Oh no!" roared Mum, "there's something scary in the house! We'll have to move house!"
"Snowball is up in the attic," said Maeve with a smile. Dad and Mum started laughing. David and Michael looked embarrassed.

Sprayed the fence and painted the gate.

You win me at games and bring me to school.
Well, well, what could go wrong
Because Daddy you're so very strong.

Book Review by Chloe O’ Connor 4th Class

My name is Chloe O’ Connor. I am in 4th class.
The title of my book is “Run With The Wind”. The author of the book is Tom McCaughren.

The story took place in Glen Sinna or as the foxes call it the land of Sinna or Beach Paw. They all lived in Beech Paw which is in the land of Sinna.

The names of the main characters are: Black Tip, Vickey, Old Sage Brush and Fang.

The foxes Fang, Vickey and Black Tip wanted to find the Great White Fox. Vickey said that she had an old friend who could help them. They also wanted to defeat man and his fun dogs. So Vickey and her friend Old Sage Brush decided to go and look for the secret of survival.

My favourite character was Vickey because she is patient and kind. My favourite thing about Vickey is that she’s always there for someone when they’re hurt or feel a bit down.

I liked the book because it was interesting and imaginative.
I thought it was one of the best books I have read so far.
I think lots of people would like this book.
I would give this book 10/10 but I thought it was a little difficult to read.
