Men from Mars by Daragh Doyle 3rd Class

One fine summer’s day, I was outside playing with my dog called Muffy when I saw a tiny circle in the sky. I ran inside to get my super spy binoculars and I gazed into the sky and I saw an alien spaceship with some sort of rays coming from it. Then suddenly I saw ten more spaceships appear. I looked closer with my super spy binoculars and saw aliens with big, fat heads and little skinny bodies. Then they started shooting some rays at people. The rays were red. At first, I didn’t know what the rays were doing but then I worked it out that they were hypnotizing rays. I took Muffy up and ran for cover behind a wall.

Then something strange happened. Muffy and I started to spin around and change into super heroes with rocket boots, capes and lazer eyes.

We took flight and used our lazer eyes to take out one of millions of space ships. It crashed into millions of tiny pieces.

Then we found this underground layer beside my house with this strange robot in it. His name was Googletron. I asked him how to defeat the leader Alien Kripto. So Googletron told me that I would need to stand in front of Kripto’s spaceship and hold up a mirror to reflect the hypnotizing ray back at him and tell him to go back to Mars.

Googletron gave me a mirror. I ran out of the underground layer and looked for Alien Kripto. I found him in my uncle’s field. I followed Googletron’s instructions. I stood in front of Kripto’s spaceship and held up the mirror. At the same time I told Kripto to go back to Mars. The hypnotizing ray reflected back at Kripto and immediately he took off for Mars.

When he left, all the people who were hypnotized found out what had happened. We had big celebrations called D and M Day.

November by Megan Stacey 6th Class

No bright, just dark,
A frozen park.
No nice blue sky,
You ask me why?

It's now November,
It is grey.
There's not a single sunshine ray,
November!
